The evolution of epigenome
My thesis work is focused on looking at the evolution of epigenome. To do this, we are trying to compare DNA methylation of different organisms including human and other animals at whole genome level. We speculate that genetic variation which has an advantage under selection pressure drive epigenetic variation followed by phenotypic variation. I will study this relationship between epigenetic/genetic variation and phenotypic variation.
