The majority of my work centers on exploring metabolism in bone cells. I will be characterizing the effects of glucose and fatty acid metabolism in two knock-out mice. Further studies will also involve studying how these two mice cope with fracture healing and if their metabolic deficits have any effects. A secondary project that I am working on involves the consequences of the Wnt signaling pathway in bone by studying the Frizzled receptors to which Wnt binds. I am currently characterizing the bone morphology of one such Frizzled knock-out mouse.
